2. Here's how the "trap door" system will work. The sound has to go around these flaps in order to get out. I hope this will deaden the noise!

5. Takes air from above the radiator. This is to keep the air cool. Cool air equals more oxygen per volume of air. Since engine breathes a set volume, more oxygen per intake equals more fuel, more fuel and more oxygen equals higher power. Not much, but a little.
