Compared steering racks: 2.7turns vs 2.2 turns. And went for a test drive :)

1. Comparison of "2.2 turns lock-lock" (lower rack) and "2.7 turnsReference point is the plank on the right.

2. One full turn. The lower steering rack is the "2.2 turns" and the one on top is the "2.7 turns" rack.

3. Two turns.

4. Full lock.

5. At full lock, the distance it moved was 10.4cm.

6. At full lock, the 2.2 turns rack travelled only 10.0cm. Conclusion, the 2.2 turns is only a 2.7 with the lock stops moved in. :-(

7. Rear view after a test drive. Parked on the back lawn to make space for the other cars that needed winter tires changed to summer tires.
