Christmas and new year's absence from work hasn't meant I've covered lots of ground on the car...quite the opposite, only fastened two panels...

1. Have here fastened two aluminium panels along the transmission tunnel. Phew...what a work-out. To do these two is about four hours work, and I had already drilled and tapped all the holes. Hopefully...going slow will mean the result is better.

2. Here's one of the fasteners. A M4x10mm hex screw with a rounded head. Not cheap, but they look good.

3. Here's a better view. You might think I'm being cheap saying these screws are expensive, but I bought 100 and they cost approx SEK450 (about EUR50 or £36-ish). You need about 250 of them, so I cheaped out and only use these where it matters, on other places there's less attractive screws instead.

4. I wonder what this is for and why it's so big and heavy. Am thinking about cutting it off as I don't see where I'm going to use it.

5. Also wonder where this panel goes.
